تقام في البيرو أعمال ترميم تجرى في موقع تشان تشان الأثري في منطقة لا ليبرتاد، إلى الغرب من تروجيلو، في شمال بيرو.
وحسب وزارة الثقافة البيروفية في 13 يونيو 2018 يقام في هذا الموقع إجراء اكتشافات جديدة كان آخرها ممر مع الجداريات في قصر يبلغ من العمر ألف سنة.
يذكر أن حضارة Chimu قد امتدت على طول ساحل بيرو إلى حيث تبدأ الإكوادور، من عام 900 حتى عام 1475 عندما تم إسقاط إمبراطوريتها من قبل الإنكا.
