قال عبد الناصر همتي محافظ البنك المركزي الإيراني إنه سيدافع عن الريال الإيراني المتعثر في وجه المضاربات وبدون ضخ عملة صعبة في السوق وذلك ردا على تراجع العملة إلى مستويات منخفضة تاريخية هذا الأسبوع.وهوى الريال إلى أدنى مستوى على الإطلاق الثلاثاء قبل أن يتعافى قليلا وذلك بعد أيام من ازياد الضغوط الدبلوماسية للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية على طهران بمطالبتها بالسماح للوكالة بدخول موقع نوويين سابقين مشتبه بهما.وقال همتي في منشور على انستغرام : "لا يقوم أي بنك مركزي ملتزم ومطلع ’ببعثرة’ موارده في السوق في الفترات التي نرى فيها الاقتصاد يتعرض لصدمات قصيرة الأجل".ويقول مسؤولون إيرانيون إن الحكومة تخلت إلى حد كبير عن سياسة ضخ كميات كبيرة من العملة الصعبة بهدف دعم الريال منذ عام 2018 عندما خسر الريال زهاء 75% من قيمته عقب انسحاب الولايات المتحدة من الاتفاق النووي الدولي وقرارها التالي بإعادة فرض عقوبات على طهران.وأضاف همتي "البنك المركزي سيتعامل بالتأكيد مع التقلبات القائمة على المضاربات".وذكرت مواقع متخصصة في أسعار الصرف ومنها بونباست دوت كوم أن الريال ارتفع بشكل طفيف أمام الدولار وسجل في السوق غير الرسمية نحو 192 ألفا الجمعة بعدما تراجع إلى مستوى منخفض تاريخي عند 205 آلاف الثلاثاء.
