أعلن المستشار الألماني أولاف شولتس، اليوم الجمعة، أن ألمانيا تجري محادثات مع الحكومة العراقية بشأن إمكانية استيراد الغاز الطبيعي من الدولة الغنية بالنفط، في وقت تسعى فيه برلين لتنويع مصادر الطاقة بعد تراجع واردات الوقود الأحفوري من روسيا.وقال شولتس في مؤتمر صحفي مشترك مع رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني في برلين: "تحدثنا أيضا عن شحنات غاز محتملة لألمانيا واتفقنا على البقاء على اتصال وثيق".ولم يذكر المستشار الألماني تفاصيل أخرى عن أحجام الغاز التي تأمل ألمانيا في استيرادها من العراق.
