تراجعت أسعار النفط الأربعاء 25 أغسطس، لتلتقط أنفاسها بعد صعود قوي هذا الأسبوع بفعل خسارة ربع إنتاج المكسيك ودلائل تفيد أن الصين، أكبر مستورد للخام في العالم، احتوت أحدث تفش لفيروس كورونا.وهبطت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 25 سنتا ما يعادل 0.4% إلى 70.80 دولار للبرميل بحلول الساعة 05:25 بتوقيت جرينتش، بينما نزلت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأميركي 28 سنتا ما يعادل 0.4% إلى 67.26 دولار.هذا وارتفعت العقود الآجلة للخامين نحو 8% خلال اليومين السابقين لتمحو معظم الخسائر التي مُنيت بها على مدار سبع جلسات.وارتفعت الأسعار إثر انخفاض إمدادات من المكسيك بأكثر من 400 ألف برميل يوميا نتيجة حريق في رصيف نفطي لكن شركة النفط الحكومية تتوقع استئناف الإنتاج في الثلاثين من الشهر الجاري.
