أعلنت منظمة الموارد الطبيعية وإدارة المياه في إيران عن التخطيط لإنشاء متنزهات غابوية ومشاريع خضراء على الحدود الإيرانية العراقية للحد من العواصف الرملية والترابية.وفي هذا الصدد، أوضح رئيس المنظمة، مسعود منصور، قائلا: "جزء من المشروع سيكون في الأراضي الإيرانية بمساحة 15 ألف هكتار".وأضاف منصور: "الجزء الآخر سيكون في الأراضي العراقية بنفس المساحة ويبلغ طوله في الجانب العراقي 82 كيلومترا، على طريق المشاة للمسيرة الأربعينية"، مشيرا إلى أن إنشاء المشاريع على جدول أعمال الطرفين، وأنه من المتوقع أن تدخل حيز التنفيذ خلال العام الحالي.
