إحصائيات جديدة أصدرتها السلطات الإيطالية، كشفت عن وجود 627 حالة وفاة بفيروس كورونا "كوفيد 19"، ليصل إجمالي عدد الوفيات في الدولة إلى 4032 حتى ساعة كتابة الخبر.وبهذا، تتفوق إيطاليا على الصين، التي شهدت 3248 حالة وفاة، من أصل 80.9 ألف حالة، لتصبح إيطاليا في المركز الأول عالمياً في عدد الوفيات جراء كورونا، كما أنها الأعلى في النسب، نظراً لإصابة 47 ألف شخص.من جانب آخر قال رئيس منطقة لومبارديا الإيطالية الجمعة إن الحكومة وافقت على نشر الجيش في منطقته لفرض العزل في إطار مكافحة فيروس كورونا الذي يتسارع انتشاره هناك.وقال أتيليو فونتانا خلال مؤتمر صحفي "تمت الموافقة على (طلب الاستعانة بالجيش).. سيجري نشر 114 جنديا في أنحاء لومبارديا.. لا يزال هذا العدد قليلا جدا لكنها خطوة إيجابية".وطلبت لومبارديا من الحكومة تشديد القيود المطبقة بالفعل التي تشمل إغلاق جميع الأنشطة التجارية غير الأساسية وحظر التجمعات العامة.وأضاف فونتانا، دون ذكر أرقام، أن العدوى تواصل الانتشار في لومبارديا التي سجلت أعلى عدد من الوفيات بالفيروس في إيطاليا.وقال "للأسف لا نشهد أي تغير في اتجاه الأرقام الآخذة في الزيادة".
