أطلقت قوات الأمن القنابل المسيلة للدموع على متظاهرين يحتجون على عنف الشرطة في باريس يوم السبت 28 نوفمبر 2020 بعد أن رشق ملثمون رجال الشرطة بالحجارة والألعاب النارية وأقاموا حواجز على الطرق.وشارك آلاف الفرنسيين في أنحاء البلاد في مسيرات احتجاجا على عنف الشرطة وطالبوا بحرية الصحافة بعد أن اعتدت الشرطة على رجل أسود، وهو منتج موسيقي، بالضرب مما أذكى موجة غضب على مشروع قانون يُعتقد أنه يقيد حرية الصحفيين في الكشف عن وحشية الشرطة.وفي باريس أضرم متظاهرون النار في بعض الممتلكات العامة في الشوارع واشتبكوا مع الشرطة أثناء محاولتهم منع الوصول إلى بعض الشوارع.وفي ليل ورين وستراسبورج ومدن أخرى احتج آلاف آخرون على مشروع القانون الذي يجرم تداول صور رجال الشرطة في ظروف معينة وهو ما يصفه المعارضون بأنه يحد من حرية الصحافة.وحمل الكثيرون لافتات كتب عليها "من سيحمينا من الشرطة" و "أوقفوا عنف الشرطة" و"ضرب الديمقراطية".وانضم إلى منظمات الصحفيين وجماعات الحرية المدنية التي نظمت تلك المسيرات نشطاء يساريون متطرفون ونشطاء بيئيون ومتظاهرون من السترات الصفراء والذين يحتجون على سياسات الحكومة منذ عامين.

Public sector workers went on strike across France in a "warning shot" for President against his reform drive, with cancelled trains and flights causing travel headaches for thousands. Many schools, daycare centres and libraries were closed ahead of demonstrations planned for the afternoon, while other public services such as garbage collection were disrupted in Paris and other cities.
