أعلن وزير الداخلية اللبناني بسام مولوي، الأربعاء، إحباط 3 عمليات تفجير، كانت مرتبطة بتنظيم الدولة الإسلامية "داعش"، مشيراً إلى تلك العمليات كان سيتم تنفيذها بشكل متزامن ضد 3 أهداف في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت.وقال وزير الداخلية اللبناني، في مؤتمر صحافي في مقر قيادة قوى الأمن الداخلي، إن التفجيرات في حال حدوثها "كانت ستأخذ البلاد إلى مكان آخر"، مضيفاً أن التفجيرات بحسب التقديرات، "كانت ستوقع عدد كبير من الضحايا".
