تعرض جنوب غرب مالي لهجومين منفصلين أديا لمقتل 15 جنديا وثلاثة مدنيين.وقال الجيش في بيان إن 6 جنود قتلوا وأصيب 25 آخرون عندما تعرض معسكر للجيش لهجوم في سونكولو، وهي بلدة ريفية في منطقة سيجو الواقعة على بعد أكثر من 300 كيلومتر شمالي العاصمة باماكو.وذكر ان هجوما آخر وقع على معسكر في بلدة كالومبا بجنوب غرب البلاد أدى لمقتل 9 جنود و3 مدنيين.كما تعرضت قاعدة عسكرية أخرى في وسط مدينة موبتي لهجوم لكن الجنود تصدوا للمهاجمين دون وقوع إصابات.وأضاف بيان الجيش انه تم صد جميع الهجمات، وقتل الجنود 48 من المسلحين في سونكولو.وتتعرض القواعد العسكرية في أنحاء مالي لهجمات متكررة ، يشنها مسلحون مرتبطون بتنظيم القاعدة الارهابي ، وعلى مدى عشر سنوات تركزت في شمال البلاد ووسطها.
