مكسيكو - (أ ف ب): أوقع زلزال بقوة 8.2 درجات ضرب ليل الخميس الجمعة ساحل المكسيك الجنوبي على المحيط الهادئ 35 قتيلا وهو الاقوى الذي يضرب هذه البلاد منذ مئة عام.وقع الزلزال وبث الرعب في نفوس عدد كبير من السكان الذين كانوا يستعدون للنوم مذكرا بزلزال سبتمبر 1985 الذي خلف أكثر من 10 آلاف قتيل. وقال جون بليني وهو عالم في الجيوفيزياء في مركز معلومات الزلازل الوطني في جولدن بكولورادو التابع لهيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية إن الزلزال هو الأقوى في المكسيك منذ زلزال قوته 8.1 درجة ضرب ولاية خاليسكو غرب البلاد في عام 1932.والولاية الاكثر تضررا هي اواكساكا جنوبا حيث سقط 25 قتيلا على الاقل وفق وزير الزراعة خوسيه كالزادا.وصرّح رئيس المكسيك انريكيه بينيا نييتو خلال زيارته المركز الوطني لمراقبة الكوارث أنه "الزلزال الأقوى في المكسيك خلال قرن كامل" في وقت تستعد البلاد مساء لمواجهة الاعصار كاتيا الذي سيضرب ولاية فيراكروز الشرقية ورفع إلى الفئة الثانية.واضاف في وقت لاحق ان "اكثر من 200 شخص اصيبوا بجروح".وفي ولاية تاباسكو جنوب شرق البلاد، لقي طفل حتفه بعدما انهار منزل عليه، كما توفي رضيع عندما قطع الزلزال التيار الكهربائي عن جهاز التنفس الاصطناعي.واعربت اونيليا غويرا وهي من سكان اوكساكا كانت موجودة في مكسيكو عند وقوع الزلزال عن "قلقها" وذلك قبل ان تغادر.وقالت الممرضة "51 عاما" التي يقع منزلها في سالينا كروز قرب جوشيتان ان "والدي وابني وحيدان هناك".ورفع ليلا تحذير من حصول تسونامي شمل منطقة واسعة تمتد من وسط المكسيك حتى الاكوادور.ووصلت تداعيات الزلزال الى غواتيمالا حيث اصيب 4 اشخاص.وشعر سكان العاصمة المكسيكية بالزلزال علما بانها تبعد حوالى الف كلم عن مركزه.وخرج المئات بثياب النوم الى الشوارع بعد توجيه تحذير من زلزال وشيك.وحدد المركز الأمريكي للجيولوجيا مركز الزلزال في المحيط الهادئ على بعد نحو 100 كيلومتر قبالة مدينة تونالا على ساحل ولاية شياباس، موضحا ان قوته بلغت 8.1 درجات على عمق 69.7 كلم.واوضح الرئيس المكسيكي ان 50 مليون شخص من أصل 120 مليونا هم تعداد السكان شعروا به.في الشوارع، جلس السكان بملابس النوم على الأرصفة وهم يلتفون بالبطانيات ويراقبون المباني وهي تهتز أمامهم.وقالت إحدى سكان شمال العاصمة مايارو اورتيغا، وهي متخصصة في علم النفس تبلغ 31 عاما، بعد أن خرجت بسرعة من المبنى "سمعت دويا (...) ورأيت إشارات المرور تتحرك بطريقة غريبة".وروى كريستيان رودريغيز وهو سائق سيارة أجرة يبلغ 28 عاما "كنت أقود السيارة عندما بدأت الأرض تهتز وشعرت بالسيارة ترتجّ".وأعلن وزير التربية المكسيكي اوريليو نونو إغلاق المدارس الجمعة في ولايتي أواكساكا وتشياباس.وشعر سكان غواتيمالا بالزلزال وأفادت وسائل إعلام محلية بانقطاع في التيار الكهربائي في بعض المناطق الغربية القريبة من الحدود. وتقع المكسيك عند نقطة التقاء خمس طبقات تكتونية وتشهد نشاطا زلزاليا كبيرا.وفي سبتمبر 1985، دمّر زلزال بلغت شدته 8.1 درجات جزءا كبيرا من العاصمة وأسفر عن سقوط اكثر من 10 آلاف قتيل. وحدد مركزه على بعد 400 كلم على ساحل الأطلسي.ومنذ تلك المأساة، عززت السلطات المكسيكية قوانين البناء وطوّرت نظام تحذير يعتمد على أجهزة استشعار مثبتة على السواحل.
