أكد الادعاء العام اللبناني لرويترز، الخميس، إصدار قرار يحظر السفر على رؤساء مجالس إدارة خمسة بنوك لبنانية.وأصدرت غادة عون الحظر المفروض على سليم صفير من بنك بيروت، وسمير حنا من بنك عودة، وأنطون صحناوي من "SGBL"، وسعد الأزهري من "بنك لبنان والمهجر"، ورايا حسن من "Bankmed".طيلة عقود، شكّل القطاع المصرفي ركيزة رئيسية للاقتصاد. وتمكّن من جذب الودائع ورؤوس الأموال، سواء من المستثمرين العرب أو المغتربين الذي رأوا في مصارف بلدهم ملاذاً آمناً لجنى عمرهم. وبلغت قيمة الودائع الإجمالية في ذروتها أكثر من 150 مليار دولار قبل عام من بدء الأزمة عام 2019، وفق تقديرات رسمية.لكنّ المشهد تغيّر كلياً على وقع الانهيار الاقتصادي الذي صنّفه البنك الدولي بين الأسوأ في العالم منذ العام 1850، وفرض المصارف لقيود مشددة على عمليات السحب بالدولار ومنع التحويلات الى الخارج. وجعل ذلك المودعين عاجزين عن التصرّف بأموالهم خصوصاً بالدولار، بينما فقدت الودائع بالليرة قيمتها مع انهيار قيمة العملة المحلية في السوق السوداء.وشهدت قاعات الانتظار في المصارف خلال العامين الماضيين سجالات متكررة بين مواطنين غاضبين راغبين بالحصول على ودائعهم وموظفين ملتزمين بتعليمات إداراتهم. وانعدمت الثقة تدريجياً بالقطاع المصرفي الذي تراجع نشاطه ليقتصر على عمليات بسيطة خصوصاً السحب بالليرة.
